Yet another tragic story and victim to one of the most seemingly silent destroyers of Americans, not to mention the billions of dollars in medical costs. The devestation in people's lives that suffer as infected or the family of the infected can't even be calculated.

I know. All too well. Along with pets we've lost among the years before we had a clue as to the cause, I have now lost 6 friends and a woman who was more like my sister and my last dedicated supporter, my Aunt Robin.       And she had been infected less time than I have. I too have Stage 3 Neurological Lyme Disease. I was infected at what we have determined age 12.  

I lost my ability to concentrate well enough to take exams by the time I was in college. My plans? To follow in my father's footsteps and become a lawyer and mgo to work where my cousin did when he prosecuted President of the United States Richard Nixon during the Watergate affair.. the Dept. Of Justice. Instead my life eventually crashed at age 29 after I was no longer able to safely fight fires. The pain I have endured ever since nearly cost me my sanity completely. Government officials the further one gets from the NorthEast seem clueless as to the damage and what it does and prevents the infected from being able to do, sometimes also causing them to have to resort to acts of necessity to survive. 

But, that is a story many of my listeners and readers know, but soon we will be publishing a story showing how this disease is leading to the massive violation of the rights of those afflicted as well. And how the Americans with Disabilities Act can be used to gain back some of the dignity torn from many of us. The law specifically removes Police and Judicial immunity from civil and criminal prosecution. For a good reason. It is often those in positions of that level of absolute power who are clueless about the horrible severity of the symptoms and limitations caused by something so devestation already.

It was 2016 when I got a call at work. It was the house alarm company. My husband, Russ, who picked up the kids from school each day, had arrived home and wasn’t able to turn the blaring alarm off. 

I got home later that day and everything was fine. But I noticed Russ asking repetitive questions. Forgetting what time to pick up the kids. And he couldn’t remember the alarm code — the same one we had used for years. 

In the time leading up to the alarm company incident, things between Russ and me had not been good. He was moody and irritable. He was angry. I thought we were headed toward divorce. But now I know those were the very first signs of tick-borne illness.

Because Russ was very outdoorsy, and because I knew he had tick(s on him over the years, Lyme disease was actually one of the first things that came to mind when I started looking into the symptoms of my husband’s cognitive decline. The thing was, though, that Russ had never had a fever or a rash associated with ticks that we knew of, and when tested with the standard Lyme screener had come up negative. 

We also got bloodwork from an integrative medicine doctor to take a deeper look at what was happening with Russ. It showed nothing out of the ordinary. Tick-borne illnesses, like Lyme, fell off my radar. Russ went to a neurologist for cognitive testing and his decline was far worse than I even suspected. He wasn’t able to do simple math patterns that my 6-year-old could easily do at the time. He was a computer scientist and electrical engineer. I was flabbergasted. The neurologist said he either had a stroke event or Alzheimer’s.  

An MRI showed no stroke event. A PET scan showed severe deficiencies in metabolism patterns, consistent with late-stage Alzheimer’s. He was 60.

Early onset Alzheimer’s, however, is not typically a quick decline without a genetic component, which Russ didn't have. In Russ’ case, though, the decline was swift. But after about nine months, I accepted the diagnosis. That is, until I spoke to my brother, Scott, whose wife had been suffering from chronic illness for years and had just been diagnosed with multiple tick-borne illnesses. Scott told me, “I think this is what’s going on with Russ.”

Russ was tested with a PCR test, the same way we now test for COVID-19, which looked for the organism itself rather than the antibodies. Russ had three tick-borne infections — the three Bs as they’re known —  Borrelia (otherwise known as Lyme disease), Bartonella and Babesia. (Editor’s note: While Bell does not know which tick-borne infection caused the illness resembling Alzheimer's, Elizabeth Landsverk, M.D., who specializes in the treatment of dementia and Alzheimer's, told TODAY that untreated Lyme disease can cause brain fog and neurological symptoms that mirror the symptoms of Alzheimer's, as well as "toxic scarring to the brain.")

 We had wasted 15 months. Still, there was hope. Infections, at least, can be treated. So that’s what we did. And the next year can only be described as a roller coaster. Antibiotics would help, and then Russ would come off them and decline. Some of the more well-known symptoms of Lyme came up — joint pain, swelling in his knees. But cognitively, he continued to decline.

After 18 months of treatment, I made the most difficult decision of my life — to move Russ to a respite care facility. It was three years ago this month. 

For a time, Russ was OK. He had socialization I couldn’t provide at home. He was receiving good medical care. I visited him almost every day and helped with showering and things of that nature. It went on that way until March 2020. Then COVID hit, and I couldn’t see Russ for six months.

I finally did see him because he was moved to a hospital because of a seizure. It was now September of 2020. He had lost so much weight. He was hunched over. The man who had once been so engaging — the life of the party — was vacant. People asked if I thought he recognized me. I didn’t think so. Russ passed away in January of 2022. Throughout this journey, I journaled. I had lost my partner, the person I communicated with every day. Journaling my experiences was an outlet. It was during 2020 that I wrote my memoir, "What Lurks in the Woods." It was published on Oct. 23, 2021 — Russ’s 65th birthday. I wanted to honor his life, but also to raise awareness for tick-borne illnesses. They don’t always present in a typical manner, and if you or a loved one is experiencing sudden mood changes, anxiety or depression, I encourage you to find a Lyme-literate doctor through the database of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS). I wish I had done that sooner.

Being quite closer to Libertarian if I had to relate to those without freaking people out by calling it like it more accurately is "Anarchist", only because the modern definition of the word has been so badly decimated by government and corporate media... a word that simply means "no rulers" not "no rules". It has been used now to describe Antifa fascists, unruly mobs who burn out buildings and attempt to take over entire portions of cities, but wait...   didn't that effort see the rise of a kingpin thug as "authoritarian in chief"?   That is not Anarchy at all. Anarchists in true practice could live together in neighborhoods where community meetings and organization could empower every citizen who is able bodied and willing to form their own militia. They could easily convene a citizens grand jury to indict criminals who violate natural. law, i.e. an offence where there is a victim or damage to private property, or the damaging, poisoning, or destruction of public lands. Everyone would be on an equal footing. No one would rule over your life from 1000 miles away and run agencies like the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, a governmental services corporation, that was unconstitutionally empowered to end up having military style SWAT teams, purport to be being "stewards of the land", having signs on  their office walls like "NO MORE MOO IN 92 - CATTLE FREE in 93" while pretending to be operating within the confines of the U.S. Constitution, to spite the fact that they all take the same oath as every other public servant "so called", while using it as toilet paper. Google is responsible for bringing a subversive destructive ideology forward and normalizing it. Google has engaged with psychological warfare against the American people. They advertised the service as a way and means to “broadcast ourselves” but has no intention of allowing us to do that if our positions run contrary to their “woke vision”.

And Bruce is one of the few cheapskate bastard artists that just will not allow the music to be used to compliment him. What a horrible impression that makes as this hard core capitalist sell out chooses profits over fans and that is all I have to say about that. I wanted to be you once Boss. Now I just see you as a fraud. YOUTUBE GIVING COMMUNITY GUIDELINES STRIKE TO DISABLED JOURNALIST FOR UNLISTED VIDEO THAT HE WAS TRYING TO VET OF TEXAS SENATE HEARING FOR SPREADING MEDICAL MISINFORMATION HE NEVER SPREAD

It’s really bad enough this journalist that has been not only censored for “not spreading medical mis/disinformation”, but it is his second fraudulent punitive strike based on a false allegation which is in reality the “actual” disinformation, and in fact defamation as such accusations damage ones credibility. The video, to make matters worse were of an official Texas State government session and state senator arguing a few points that sounded seriously alarming. So to be cautious, the journalist in question uploaded the video to “unlisted” so he and his associates could vet 1st the veracity of the video - was it actually the Texas state Senate, which was yes. Then, was the information contained correct? And if it wasn’t a report would have to be done on that. It was an incomplete production in the middle of the process - not a complete and public video. The purpose of doing it this way is that it can be shared with the team of journalists that comprise this website and channels staff, as well they are not rich and this specific journalist was the victim of a burglary and identity theft and lost all his computers so had only the YouTube account to save content he was working on. 

YouTubes claim of “spreading” anything is false, yet the account still remains struck as the news cycle ticks on and as they are prevented from preparing for the next radio show. 

All of this after some time ago received a defamatory strike accusing he and the channel of cyber bullying and hate speech, which has foundations in a foreign political ideological belief not shared by the journalist or any of his staff that has its foundations in Marxist ideology, as opposed to the traditional American tenet of freedom of speech with Supreme Court decisions that only limit said speech based on threatening or statements that would be considered to cause alarm which could very likely be construed as causing or having the likely potential to cause severe distress . 

The interview was of a man that was currently being sued and therefore being accused himself of such a claim. The man in question was Wolfgang Halbig who has just recently been arrested in possession of the ID of one of the Sandy Hook parents Leonard Pozner, a man he stands accused of harassing.  Here is where that turns defamatory toward the journalist in question. The interview conducted with Mr. Halbig has no content of stalking, bullying, hate speech, and in fact was an interview to try and ascertain where the lawsuit stood (it’s current disposition) and other maters unrelated to the Sandy Hook shooting or to any specific individual or claim regarding veracity of officially reported events. In other words YouTube chose to do to this journalist what in a sense they had already convicted Halbig of regardless of the content of the interview. It is the absolute worst form of hypocrisy and should see YouTube rightfully sued. It is one thing to try and tear down long standing American tenets like an individual’s right to free speech, especially hated, despised or maddening speech, as fluffy unicorns and rainbows and honey do not require such protection. And sometimes the most long held beliefs are disproven by a dedicated minority. Sometimes even of one. I can’t help but think of that picture of Hitler giving a speech and the one man in the audience with a scowl on his face and arms crossed in obvious disapproval. Today that man would likely be the target of aYouTubes overbearing defamatory process that quietly harms people in reality, not with mere words but direct and deliberate actions. How long will it be until these people realize that this does nothing for the cause of peace nor does it prevent harm from occurring at all. In fact, it causes feelings of severe anxiety, stress, anger, and righteous indignation and the latter of those emotions can be the most deadly, because there is nothing more dangerous than someone who knows that they have been wrongly accused and damaged and who are only given a joke of a process to remedy the damage. 

That journalist I have referred to in this article is myself. And I for one have had ENOUGH!
